New Hampshire Results - Kenseth Gets the Win - but Nobody Kept Him as Their Pick... That Doesn't Mean There Wasn't any Carnage!!!

Cover your eyes if you don't like profanity, because FUUUUUUUUUUU******KKKKKKK!

Okay... that felt better.

New Hampshire was full of excitement for some and agony for others... you can guess which side the Fat Penguin falls.  Kenseth won... somebody picked him but then changed their pick before the green flag... that sucks, but I can tell you that at least they didn't pick Elliott.

We'll see Gordon this week in Indy, so check out the other ramblings section for how that will be scored if you pick him...

Empty had our TOP PICK of Logano (3rd).  Empty jumps up 2 spots to 11th and is only 12 points away from the Elite 8.  With only 1 win, he'll need to grab 2 wins in the last 7 races or gain those 12 points to qualify for the Chase.  Nice Job Empty keep the momentum going!

Other TOP 10 Studs were Kiss with his 4th place Harvick pick.  Kiss gains 14 points on 8th but is still 62 points out with 1 win.  It is definitely doable, but he'll have to keep rolling.  Graziano and Beef took 9th place finisher Hamlin.  A solid pick this week for sure.  Graziano stays in 3rd but gained 17 points and is now only 10 points away from those top 2 teams.  Beef (8th) bounds up 3 spots to bust into the Elite 8.  In a week full of carnage, you have to love these picks this week... well done guys!

Wheels' EH... pick was kind of a top pick as she moves up 2 spots to 6th with her 12th place Jimmie Johnson pick.  While Skidmarks' 15th place Keselowski pick leaves him in 12th and gains him 4 points on 8th.  Any gained points are good, and you could have done much worse this week for sure.

Dust chose Edwards who finished 20th.  Dust stays in 9th and shares the DOOTW with Piston and Rusty who chose 25th place finisher Kahne.  Piston and Rusty stay in 1st and 2nd, but lose a little of their breathing room to those of us who didn't pick Chase Elliott.

That brings us to the BSOTW and most popular pick this week.  Chase was driving a fantastic race until the late restart where Truex couldn't get going and caused him to get a tire rub that ended what could have been a great race in a very shitty manner.  Ideal and Shepard stay in 4th and 5th, #Wifey drops a spot to 7th, Chonk and Penguin drop 3 spots to 10th and 13th, and Pursuit stays in 15th.  Damn it!

OTHER RAMBLINGS:

Who's looking forward to putting New Hampshire behind them???

7 Races left before the Chase!

Indy this week on Sunday!

So Jeff Gordon will fill in for Dale Jr. this week.  What happens if you pick him???  Our geniuses in the rules committee have covered this scenario under section 5 of our League rules:

5)     Total points awarded for each race will be the same as points awarded by the NSCS point system appearing in the official race results on NASCAR.com
a)      If you choose a driver who is ineligible for NSCS points (e.g., an Xfinity Series driver racing in a NSCS race, or a road racing specialist who isn’t a full time NSCS driver, etc.) and NASCAR.com shows that driver receiving zero NSCS points after the race, we will award the points typically awarded for that finishing position
i)       Note: Because of our league format, we want to encourage use of all drivers for each NSCS race; the NFCL wants to reward owners who take risks and use their racing knowledge to their benefit
ii)     If a driver who is not eligible for NSCS points leads a lap or leads the most laps in the race, he/she is not eligible for NSCS bonus points nor will he/she receive NFCL bonus points; only the points typically awarded for their finishing position

We have 7 races to go until the Chase and nobody is out yet.  Some of us need a bunch of help, but I think it's time to panic if you aren't already locked in.

Good luck in Indy!

Cheers!
