Darlington Results - Harvick Dominates... Rusty Truck Gets Second Win!

Top Picks:

While Chonk keeps his firm grip on the top spot (Newman, 10th along with Penguin, Kiss, Piston, Shepard, A-Game), only one team logged a key win this week.  Rusty chose 1st place Harvick, moving him into the top 7 and more importantly, putting him just one win from locking himself into the Chase.  Nice pick Rusty!

Beef, Dust, and Asleep chose 6th place Kyle Busch.  Beef still solid in 5th place.  Dust moves into the top 7.

Pursuit and Rowdy took 7th place Gordon... each team moving up 3 and 4 spots respectively.  Rowdy's 3 wins are nice, but she is also closing in on that top 7 spot as well.  Well done!

Eh:
Skidmarks chose 19th place Hamlin, but keeps out of the Dutch Oven as it did not change his position on the leaderboard.

DOOTH:
Graziano took Almirola (24th), but only dropped him from 3rd to 4th.

BSOTW:
Rasta, Empty, and Ideal chose Logano who had front hub issues which took him out of the running.

Another Saturday race this week in Richmond, so get your picks in!  Cheers!

Texas Results - Logano Dominates - The Chonks get Chonkier, Rowdy Strikes Oil

Interesting... this was where we were last year at this time... look at 16th place.  Even funnier... look at 13th place.  What a difference a year makes... I like the new format and am interested in getting your thoughts thus far.

In a race dominated by Logano, several of our picks looked really good for most of the race.  Obviously, Harvick's engine woes and 42nd gives A-Game the BSOTW Award.  Johnson's car was basically shat upon by Jr's brain fart... I think he thought he was goin' muddin' back on the farm.  His 25th place finish qualifies Kiss, Asleep and Rusty for the DOOTW Award.

Eh - for Team Beef's 14th place Edwards pick... Edwards looked strong early, but fell off and never made it back up.

Top Picks:
Kyle Larsen (5th), a nice pick for now 3rd Place Team Graziano, looked strong and ran at the top all day long.  As did the Biff (6th - Penguin, Rasta, Shepard, Ideal).  Empty took Menard who finished 9th - A good finish for that pick and keeps him in a Chase spot.  The Pole Sitter Stewart came in 10th.  He led some laps early and hung around at the top for most of the day, but late in the race had nothing for Logano, Keselowski or Gordon.  Pursuit, Piston, and Skid took Tony this week.

But Logano was king, and the late caution could not stop him from passing Gordon on the last lap and taking home the Cowboy Hat and Pistols... Chonk continues an amazing run of 7 of 7 weeks with top 10 picks, 4 of 7 with top 5 picks ... Oh and by the way they were all wins.  If the Chase started next week, he would have 14 Bonus Points for finishing 1st + 12 Bonus points for the 4 wins (thats 4 wins * 3 Bonus points per win kids).  Skid would not be too bad either, but holy shit... we all need to start getting busy.

What can I say about Mrs. Rowdy???  13th place in the standings, but just like the Honey Badger she doesn't give a shit... 3 wins and in the Chase mfers!  Bam!

Dust gets his first win and just 1 point out of the top 7... simple f*ckng game!

Well done guys and gal!!!!

Darlington this week and on Saturday... get your picks in and good luck to all... especially Fat Penguin!

Martinsville Results - Kurt Busch Wins... Johnson was top pick

Top Picks:
In a race dominated by JJ, Kurt Busch led the most important laps.  It seemed to me that Johnson was saving his stuff for that final challenge and was in great shape to hold off any infidels in the end.  However, Kurt Busch fought through Keselowski, remained calm, and in the end had the better car.  Unfortunately, this deprived Rasta of his first win of the season, but he was the only one to pick JJ with a nice 2nd place finish.  Rasta seems poised to keep moving up the leaderboard +4 spots this week and just 20 points out of the 7th place spot.

Kiss took Kenseth with a nice 6th place finish... keeping him firmly in 3rd and gaining a little ground on 1st place Chonk and 2nd Place Skid.  Both teams took 9th Place Bowyer.  Locked into the Chase and running 1, 2... must be nice.

Eh...:
The second most popular pick was 12th Place Gordon who never really challenged for the lead after the first few laps... (Dust, Rusty, Shepard, A-Game)

Vickers (16th) was chosen by Graziano...

Stewart (17th) by Empty and Penguin

Hamlin (19th) was the most popular pick and technically qualifies for the Dutch Oven of the Week Award. (Beef, Rowdy, Pursuit, Piston, Ideal)... that's 2 in a row DOOTW's now for Rowdy and Ideal.

Disappointing finishes by these drivers as the all started up front, but I think the lack of practice and rubber on the track made things tough on them to contend.  I have no f*^&ing idea what that means , but it is the only excuse that comes to mind.

BSOTW:
Tough week for Asleep.  McMurray basically got cornholed by Jr.  And he is always the nicest guy around... even though he basically was trying to call Jr. an asshole for wrecking him.  I guess he doesn't want JR Nation on his ass.  He started 9th had a good car and was wrecked out of the race... tough luck.

As I always say... it's early and we have a long way to go.  Anyone changing up their strategies yet???  I still want the two more wins, but also want as many bonus points as possible going into the Chase... if I make it that is.

Good luck in Texas this week... what a great state!
