Fontana Results - Johnson Blows... a Tire - Busch steals it from Gordon - 2 Teams in the Chase

Well f*ck me.... I couldn't have been happier when JJ blew a tire (no offense) and Gordon took the lead with less than 10 or so to go.  But then everyone started shitting the bed and a caution came out... Green, White, Checkered and Busch's Pit Stop was better and his car was better in the end.  And Chonk (1st) and Skid (2nd) are now in our Chase.  The Gordon win would have locked Beef and Kiss in the Chase, but they'll have to wait.

Best Picks
Kyle Busch 1st - Chonk (1st), Skid (2nd), Graz (4th and pops his win cherry)
Kenseth 4th - Dust (Moving up 4 spots to 11th), Piston (Moving up 4 spots to 10th), Empty (up 2 to 6th)
Edwards 10th - Rusty (7th)

Eh...
Gordon 13th - Beef, Penguin, Kiss (drops out of 1st), Asleep, Rasta... all losing spots except for Rasta who climbs out of the cellar.

Dutch Oven of the Week
Jimmie Johnson 24th - Rowdy, Ideal, A-Game

BSOTW
Joey Logano 39th - High Speed and Shepard.  They are now towards the bottom, but both have one win in the bank...

Good luck in Martinsville this week...  I'll be kitesurfing again this weekend, but will try to post the drivers if everyone gets them in before the wind and waves pick up.

Bristol Results - Edwards Outlasts

I've got to go fill out my NCAA bracket, so let's keep this short... $1 Billion would really help out the brewery.
Good luck with your brackets... I predict Kentucky vs. Florida in the finals with Kentucky taking it all.  Michigan St. loses to Cincy solely because Obama chooses them for the final 4.  My Alma Mater Stephen F. Austin beats VCU, but falls to UCLA.   Florida, Arizona, Nova, Kentucky for the final four.

I'm filling out a second bracket just in case.

Lots of movement in places, but the points are still real close.  Kiss gets his second win and takes over 1st place.  Fontana next week...

Loathing Las Vegas - Keselowski Dominates

Lots of movement this week in Vegas... Skid remains in the top spot but did not get that coveted 3rd win in a row.  His shot at the Chase is still looking very strong.  He was the only team to pick 5th place finisher Carl Edwards.

4 Teams chose race winner Keselowski, adding Chonk, Beef, and Rowdy into the 2 wins column.  Asleep gets his first win.  Nice job guys and girl!

High Speed and Ideal chose 4th place finisher Logano.  Graziano and Rusty chose 6th place Johnson.  These two drivers looked like they could have won this race early on and then just faded (not far), but had nothing for Keselowski.  The unpicked Dale Jr. seemed like he could win this race, but fell short on gas.

Shepard had a nice Kahne (8th) pick and Kiss and Empty chose Kyle Busch (11th).  Kyle made a few strategic moves and looked strong for a while, but fell back in traffic and couldn't contend at the end of the race.

Rasta chose 15th place McMurray and our last year's Champ is still at the back of the pack.

But the BSOTW goes to the Bowyer suckers... Dust, Piston, A-Game, and Penguin.  The Bowyer pick looked teed up with him starting 3rd, but handling issues and a flat tire made him a non-factor.

Good times, but it is still early.  Who I would blow to have my 2nd win in the bag... oops that was out loud.

3 more teams join Skidmarks at 2 wins... will they ease up or will they keep the pedal to the metal until they are locked in?

If the Chase started today and 2 wins was the Wild Card criteria, Rowdy would be the only Wild Card team to make it in and she sits in 11th place.  Pretty cool I think.

Good luck next week in Bristol!

Cheers!

Phoenvick Results - Skidmarks has 2 fng Wins already!!!

Lots of movement this week, but it is basically meaningless at this point.  Except for the fact that Skidmarks already has 2 wins... 1 more and he is a LOCK for the Chase.  I could talk about how last years' Champion, Rasta, is in last place or the fact that Fat fng Penguin is in 2nd again, but this is a new year and wins are at a premium.

Does this change the strategy at all for any of us at this point?  53% of us already have 1 win under our belt and one A-hole has 2 wins... no offense Skid.
I know it's way to freaking early, but my mind has changed already and my rock, paper, scissors strategy is not nearly as attractive as it looked after my Amsterdam/Thailand/Prague/Vegas bender that I went on after last years' 1 point defeat.

It was a good week for most of us.. the entire league had top 10 finishes.  EXCEPT for A-Game (Kahne 11th) and BSOTW (I guess) Rasta with the Hamlin (19th) pick.

I personally would love to have the two wins under my belt after 2 weeks... my strategy would change dramatically.  It would also bring new challenges into the thought process, but what a luxury that would be...

Vegas is always a wild card, but it will be interesting for sure.  If you have anything figured out already and want to share with me... just send me an email if you want as I am clueless as always.

All I know is that the brew is flowing from the brewery... check this out: Wild Bunch Brewing Company.

I wish you mfers were in Texas as we are only licensed here, but the brew is good and we may be expanding out of state in a couple of years... who knows.

Cheers!
