Martinsville Drivers

Ideal (2nd from the right) is watching this one from the track... Is that one of those pedal pubs???  That seems like a great idea for a race track.  I'm just starting to watch, but I hope I don't see you guys on the track at some point.

Fontana Results - Keselowski has Kiss the Wall California Dreamin' about an early Chase Spot

Short of unloading off of the truck and making all the other drivers your bitches for the entire weekend, I think winning the race by leading only one lap... the last lap, would be the coolest way to win a race.  Keselowski did just that and stole a win from 66.666666667% of our little league.  Kiss the Wall took Keselowski for the 2nd week in a row and stole a huge win from all of those Kurt Busch suckers...  Kiss now has 2 wins and they are both by Team Penske drivers.  Nice job Kiss!

Another easy week to break down as we had 14 of 15 teams with top picks.  The 15th team, Shepard, gets the BSOTW with his 26th place Larson pick.

Kiss gets win #2.

The top 5 spots stay the same.

2014 Chip receivers Beef and Piston move into the 8th place Chase spot.

Shepard falls 4 spots to 12th after his BSOTW.

We have a Rasta sighting...

I updated the Chips Distribution based on 15 teams this year.  Take a look at this ----->2015 Rules

Martinsville on Sunday... I predict it will be an eventful race for the league.

Good luck fellas!

Cheers!

Harvick Raceway Results

More than half of the teams chose race winner Harvick, but everyone had a decent points day... except for Rasta with a DQ and last year's co-Champ Chonk took Dale Jr. (43rd)... which feels like a DQ no doubt.

So it will be a simple breakdown... This is kind of a good thing as I have to make it quick tonight...

Harvick kicked ass all weekend.

Top 4 places stay put... Rusty keeps the #1 spot for 2 weeks in a row.

9 teams now have 1 win...

Shepard cracks the top 8.  Graz and Beef are close.

Rasta DQ's... I hope all is well with him, but we may be down to 14 teams.  I'll try to confirm this week and update the payouts accordingly.

Chonk is struggling, but I do not think he needs a huge strategy change... unless his strategy is to not pick drivers who will get good finishes.  If that's the case, he needs a strategy change.  I would just call it a slump.  It is better to have a slump now and rally the rest of the season, than to be in 5th let's say and Bed shit or dutch oven your way out of the Chase towards the end of the season... just sayin'.

My wife just hit me for posting this link...

Phoenix Drivers - HarvickFest

Harvick is most popular pick... not shocking.

Email has been a little screwy this week, but the only one I haven't been able to confirm is Rasta.  Rasta?

Vegas Results: Harvick Wins; Johnson needs Depends

Life is like a jump rope and so is this freakin' league... One thing I know while sitting down to write this blog is that no one picked a winner again this week.  I need to go back to last year and see what the total wins we had accumulated as a league, but I think Chonk had about 7 wins by himself by this time... This year we have 1.

Harvick dominated and is the favorite again in Phoenix this weekend, but other teams had a good Vegas race even without the win.  Other teams did not... let's get to it.

TOP PICKS:

F*cking Truex Jr.!  Nice to see him off to a good start... not just because I picked him.  He's one of those guys that seems solid and just needs to get it going.  He's from Jersey, but we won't hold that against him.  No offense.  Truex came home in 2nd, Graziano, Dust, Penguin and Asleep all give virtual high fives.  Dust moves up 2 to 4th, Penguin moves up 3 to 6th, Graz 11th and Asleep 13th each gain a spot.  Well done boys!

Kenseth (9th) picked by Beef, Piston and Empty.  Empty jumps up 2 spots and is now in 2nd.  Piston 10th and Beef 12th each gain a spot.

Logano (10th) picked by Rusty, Rasta and Skidmarks.  Rusty, who is probably mas fluente en espanol at this point,  takes the lead and has a huge 8 point lead... no way he gives that up*.  Skid jumps up 2 spots to 3rd and is his natural top of the heap running position.  Rasta also jumps up 2 spots to 6th and looks like he is recovering nicely from last year.

* I actually hope he doesn't give up the lead, but it is fun to throw that statement out there.

EH or DOOTW???

Shepard took Dillon who came home in 20th.  Part of me feels that this is an EH... a nice gamble picking Dillon who is a promising young driver.  But since he finished 10 places back from the next pick he may be the DOOTW.  Either way, Shepard falls to 9th but is only 5 points back from the 8th place spot.  Sofa King Early.

BSOTW:

Johnson's team must have visited the strip joints in Atlanta prior to hitting the strip joints in Vegas.  He started strong but tire issues (possibly caused by some glitter residue and cheap perfume) resulted in a 41st place finish.  Kiss free falls to 5th from 1st, but is still ok because he landed on that fat 1 win cushion.  Ideal gets shuffled back 6 spots to 8th but is still in fine shape.  Chonk falls 4 spots to 14th and Pursuit stays in 15th.  Johnson was the right pick for this race, but it wasn't meant to be... I f*cking know the feeling fellas.  Sorry about your bad luck, but anyone who has been paying attention knows that this league will change as we near the Chase.

Other Ramblings:

Phoenix this week on Sunday.

It's still way too early and I haven't had nearly enough beers (WildBunchBrewing.BEER) to pontificate about any strategies that I'm thinking that will be so unbelievably wrong.

If I forget to send my pick this week to Rusty and Beef... I'm picking Harvick.*

*Unless he hits the strip joints in Phoenix and gets mugged like that Australian golfer Allenby.  Did we ever figure out what really happened???  I would have just tried to keep quiet on this on Robert.  My wife would have kicked my ass too, but silence is better than digging in over your head and just trying to escape via China.  Unfortunately, I have been there mate.  http://mashable.com/2015/01/19/robert-allenby-kidnap/

I think we call it the champagne room in America... I guess they call it being kidnapped down under.  I know I'm way off topic here and not necessarily speaking of current events, but someone please let me know WTF they think happened here.

Cheers!

Fucklanta

Well I guess JJ isn't quite ready to roll over and let the young guns rub his belly just yet... He definitely had one of the dominant cars, but there were plenty of drivers who could have taken the checkered flag.  Logano was the man early but Harvick and Johnson fought this one out in the end... Jr was there, but not able to hold the lead for more than a lap.  Problem is... none of us picked 6X.

Top Picks:

Harvick (2nd) Picked by Kiss and Rasta.  Kiss stays at the top of the leaderboard for the 2nd week in a row and Rasta moves up 4 spots to that sweet 8th spot that will be under fire all season.

Logano (4th) picked by Rusty, Ideal and Shepard.  Rusty and Ideal break away from that 2nd place scrum after Daytona and Shepard moves up 2 spots to 7th.

Eh:

Edwards (12th) - Picked by Chonk, Beef and Empty.  Empty stays in the top 4 and Chonk and Beef move up 1 place each... so it could be worse.

Kahne (14th) - Picked by Piston and Skid .  Skid drops 3 spots but is still in the top 5 while Piston gains a spot... so it too could be worse.

DOOTW:

Larson (26th) - Picked by Graziano, Dust and Pursuit.  Dust actually gains a spot and is in 6th, Graz drops 3 down to 12th and Pursuit takes a sole possession of the last place spot.

BSOTW:

Hamlin (38th) - Picked by Penguin.  One of the cars that could battle with Logano early, but of course he's going to shit the bed if Penguin picked him.  Penguin drops 7 spots to 9th.

Gordon (41st) - Picked by Asleep.  The good thing about picking a bed shitting driver is if he takes out another driver to transfer the most poo in that team's bed.  Sorry Gordon and sorry Asleep.  Asleep drops 6 spots to 14th.

Other Ramblings:

Vegas on Sunday.

Lots of movement this week as it usually is this early in the season.

Good luck to all this week!

Cheers!
