Hola mofos! Well we still have some things up in the air with the penalty ruling for Keselowski and Harvick, but I need to get this post out tonight. I'll react on the site to whatever the rules committee decides and leave it at that for now.
Freaking Newman right? Go figure on that one...I thought Larson was going to take him at the end but Stenhouse had to get in the way and slow Larson's momentum and robbing Penguin and Pursuit of a win.
NOTE: I'm going to have to change up the way I recap the races as finishing position is not the only factor anymore. You could have taken Stenhouse who finished 4th but he had 13 fewer points than Keselowski who came in 5th as it stands now.
TOP PICKS:
LARSON was the TOP PICK and Penguin (6th) and Pursuit (7th) took him. Even though he failed to get us any bonus points for the Chase, it was a solid points day for sure... 53 points to be exact. Congratulations guys!
Shepard (4th) took Kyle Busch who collected 47 points. Shepard is off to a nice start this year. Spinning (3rd) grabbed 46 points with her Keselowski pick. Kiss (10th) took Elliott who earned 42 points and a potential Bonus point for winning Stage 2. Well done!
EH...:
Chonk (17th), Skid (1st) and Retired (13th) took Phoenix guru Harvick who had his struggles but brought it home in 6th. Nice finish but he only earned 32 points for the race... 21 points behind the top pick. Let's Go (13th) and Chicken (5th) took Dale Jr. Who earned 24 points.
DOOTW:
Logano was great for stage 1 but fell off and ultimately slammed into the wall and finished with 16 points. He did earn a potential Bonus point for Beef (15th), Rusty (9th), Fast (2nd), Graziano (16th), Ideal (8th), and Dust (11th), but they are stuck in the stinky oven this week.
BSOTW:
Piston (12th) took Kurt Busch who earned just 12 points. He also looked strong early but a speeding penalty did him in.

I'm liking the huge point swings that can happen under the new format. As someone who usually leads the League in BSOTW awards, this gives me hope that I'm never going to be out of it if I can bounce back well after a stinky week.
As far as the site goes, I'm really liking it. I think it gives us a chance to interact a little more..I wish it would add a few more reports or data like spots gained and lost each week, but overall it's been a nice change for us. Those that have given me feedback have all been positive.
