Talladega Carnage - Keselowski Gets the Win for 1 Team - Dale Jr. BSOTWs for a Bunch of Teams - And We Have a New Leader!!!

The Talladega Crapshoot definitely lived up to its' reputation this week.  We had a win, a last place finish, a lead change, everybody but Pursuit shuffles positions this week... just another crazy eventful race for this &*^%ing League.  Who would have thought Dale Jr. would play the part of Start and Park Jumpsuit Pisser???

Lots of stuff to cover so let's get to it.

TOP PICKS:

Brad Keselowski brought it home for the win for a desperate Penguin.  1st win for Penguin as he busts into the Elite 8 jumping 6 spots into a tie for 6th.  Booyah!

Austin Dillon finished 3rd for Graziano and Ideal.  Graz jumps up a spot to 3rd just 4 points away from the top spot.  Ideal also breaks into the Elite 8 jumping 4 spots into a tie for 6th.  Ideal also has 2 wins and is in a great position to make the playoffs.  Great Job Guys!

Chase Elliott finished 5th for Piston who jumps up 2 big spots and takes the lead from Rusty.  It seemed like it was just a matter of time that team Piston would grab the lead.  They have been running well all season thus far and look to be a strong contender for the title this season.  Bam!

Ryan Blaney took 9th for Shepard.  What a great pick!  Blaney was solid all race and was basically stress free the entire time.  Talladega is usually crazy and a prime race for a sleeper pick like this and it must feel good when that pick turns out well for you.  Shepard jumps up 2 spots to 5th.  Boom!

EH...:

Chonk picked Stenhouse Jr. who navigated his way to a 16th place finish.  All things considered (or as many things as my small brain can consider) this was a solid race for Chonk.  Chonk is in a good spot if you take a closer look and your glass is half full.  2 wins and only 26 points away from the Elite 8... Chonk is not out of this thing by any means.  Nicely done Chonk!

DOOTW:

Rusty took Menard who finished 26th.  Rusty ends his 4 race run at the top but only falls 1 spot to 2nd.  He's only 3 points out of 1st, so not a bad Dutch Oven if you think about it.

Wheels took Hamlin who finished 31st.  Wheels was hit a little harder, as she drops 2 spots to 4th.  I'm expecting another rebound race out of her this week and if I had to give this rookie a grade after the 1st 10 races, it would be a big A+.

BSOTW:

Dale Jr. shit the bed this week just as he did in Daytona.  He just lost control of his race car and slammed into the wall.  In doing so he slams 7 teams this week.  #Wifey falls 3 spots to 8th  (Also an A+ grade for this rookie).  Empty falls 3 spots to 9th.  Dust, Beef, and Skid each drop 2 spots to 10th, 11th, and 12th respectively.  While Kiss drops a spot to 14th and Pursuit stays at the bottom in 15th.  This BSOTW hit some teams harder than others, but it is better for this kind of crappy race to happen early I guess.  Time to rebound in Kansas fellas.

OTHER RAMBLINGS:

Kansas this week on Saturday.

Un-Freakin-Believable how volatile the Vegas favorite most popular pick has been for us this year.  I think Jr. was 3.5 to 1 or 4 to 1 favorite to win this race.

I am thinking of changing the BSOTW to Start and Park Jumpsuit Pisser... I got this from a name from one of the teams in Ideal's NASCAR League and I freakin' love it.  If any of you ever read this far, please weigh in if you think it may be a better name for the BSOTW award.

Get your picks in... I'm going to the beach this weekend to see my Mom so I may not be able to remind you.  I'll still try to post picks within a reasonable time... in theory.

Happy Mother's Day to you Mothers!

Cheers!
