Martinsville STP 500 Results - Keselowski Wins for Rusty!!!

Hola Amigos and Amigas!!!  We are still trying to figure out what to do about the penalties issued in Phoenix.  Our new site does not deduct the points as it is pulling from NASCAR.com's race standings which does not show the points deducted.  However, the driver's standings do...  We have some options to consider, and I will update you all when a ruling is made.  

TOP PICKS:

Congratulations to Rusty for picking Keselowski who got him a HUGE 1st win!!!  Rusty climbs up 4 spots to a tie for 9th and only 5 points out of the Elite 8.  

Truex won Stage 1 and grabbed a nice Stage Point for Graziano.  He finished 24 points behind Rusty, but the Stage Bonus point warrants a Top Pick.  Graz jumps up 2 spots to 14th.

 Fast gets another Stage Point for Elliott winning Stage 2.  Fast takes back the lead!  Simple game isn't it Rookies???

Penguin and Dust had a nice day from Kyle Busch who finished 2nd and had a solid points day finishing well in each stage.  Bam!  Penguin jumps up 2 spots to 2nd.   Dust breaks into the Elite 8 by jumping up 7 (Wow!) spots to 5th.

EH...:

I don't know when I'll stop being amazed at the new scoring system, but Logano had some early struggles and was 2 laps down I think at one point.  He rallied to bring it home in 4th which is freaking amazing, but that loses Spinning 22 points to Rusty... unbelievable that a 4th place pick gets you an Eh...  but I think it has to.

Bowyer also had a nice run for Pursuit and Lets Go finishing 7th, but that is 24 points behind Rusty... Pursuit jumps up a spot to 8th and into the Elite 8.  Let's go stays in 11th but is only 7 points out of the Elite 8.

Kiss (7th) and Shepard (4th) took 8th place Newman who earned 29 points... 26 points away from Rusty... damn.

DOOTW:

Hamlin gets the smelly sheets for Chonk (17th), Skidmarks (3rd), Ideal (9th), and Rudd (14th).  16 points hurts, but can be made up in chunks with the new format.

BSOTW:

McMurray gets the messy sheets for Beef (16th), Piston (12th), and Chicken (13th)... McMurray looked so strong but had a rough day in Martinsville gaining only 1 point for these guys.  

OTHER RAMBLINGS:

Texas on Sunday!  Yeeeeeeee Hawwww!!!
