Hola Amigos! Some had really good weeks (12 of 15 were in the TOP 10) and 1 DOOTW'd (Pursuit) and 2 BSOTW'd (Rusty and Penguin).
We are heading into a much needed break this weekend (for some of us) as our little League takes the final turn of the regular season. Let's go through the Field this week and see how each team is set up for this final run:
1st Piston has led for 8 weeks in a row now and 11 overall. That's 50% of the races run they have held the top spot. They have just 1 win, but are 99 points clear of 9th and look to be a lock for the Postseason. Another solid week this week with a 5th place Stewart pick. CHASE HEALTH
2nd Graziano moves up a spot this week with a nice 8th place finish from McMurray. Graz has spent 19 weeks in the Elite 8 including 1 week in 1st and has been steadily climbing to the front. He's 35 points away from 1st but more importantly 64 points clear of 9th. 0 wins though, so he'll need to keep it up for the last 4 races. CHASE HEALTH
3rd Shepard had the TOP PICK this week with 2nd place Logano. Shepard has spent all but week 1 in the Elite 8 this season. He's 50 points away from 1st and 49 points clear of 9th. 0 wins as well, but we have no indication of weakness in this team. CHASE HEALTH
4th Rusty had a rough week with his Larson pick (29th). He's locked in with those 3 wins, but will still be eyeing those bonus points that come with staying in the Elite 8. Rusty is 51 points from 1st and 48 points clear of 9th. Rusty has never been out of the Elite 8 this year and held the top spot for 6 weeks. CHASE HEALTH
5th Ideal had another solid week with Allmendinger (4th). Ideal is having a strong season spending all but 5 weeks in the Elite 8 and has been as high as 3rd this year. He has 2 wins, is 66 points away from 1st and 33 points clear of 9th. CHASE HEALTH
6th Chonk had another solid week with Allmendinger (4th). Chonk has spent only 6 weeks in the Elite 8 but has been solid over 11 of the last 12 races. He also has 2 wins. 81 points away from 1st and 18 points clear of 9th. CHASE HEALTH
7th Beef had another solid week with Allmendinger (4th). Beef has spent 8 weeks in the Elite 8 including the last 4 in a row and has been solid in 8 of the last 9 races. He has only 1 win and 10 points clear of 9th, so he'll have to keep it up in the last 4 races. CHASE HEALTH
8th Wheels had another solid week this week with a 5th place Stewart pick. Wheels has had an impressive rookie year! She led the league in the 1st 5 races and has spent 18 races in the Elite 8. She fell out of the Elite 8 for 4 weeks in a row because of a DQ but has rebounded very nicely. We'll see if having to burn a Kyle Busch pick will hurt her, but she has some work to do over the last 4 regular season races. She is 6 clear of 9th and has 0 wins. CHASE HEALTH
9th Dust took 6th place finisher Kyle Busch. Dust has spent 9 weeks in the Elite 8 but finds himself 6 points out with 4 to go. With only 1 win, he'll need some solid picks or 2 wins as we sprint for the finish line. CHASE HEALTH
10th #Wifey had another solid week with Allmendinger (4th). #Wifey has also had an impressive rookie season. He has run in the Elite 8 for 14 weeks but finds himself 8 points out as we near the Chase. He has 3 huge wins though and is locked and loaded. I have to think he will want to grab some of those bonus points, so he'll be looking to make a run over the final 4. CHASE HEALTH
11th Skidmarks had another solid week this week with a 5th place Stewart pick. Skid has had an interesting season and started out great... spending the first 5 weeks in the top 3 spots including a week in 1st. But he fell out of the Elite 8 and has not made it back since. He now sits 21 points out of the Elite 8 and has 2 wins. He has plenty of options to make the Chase, but will need a strong run or 1 more win in the last 4 races. CHASE HEALTH
12th Empty had another solid week this week with a 5th place Stewart pick. Empty has spent 7 weeks in the Elite 8 this year, but finds himself 26 points out with 1 win. His mission is clear over the last 4. Get wins or get lucky. A BSOTWfest would also be nice if he is not part of it. CHASE HEALTH
13th Kiss had the TOP PICK this week with 2nd place Logano. 2 weeks in a row with the TOP PICK is nice, but it would have been nicer if they were wins. He does pass the Commish this week, but that and 20 bucks will get you a lap dance. He has only spent week 1 in the Elite 8. However, Kiss's Chase outlook has improved a little though as he is 34 points away from 8th with 1 win... His mission is also very clear... keep it up and get lucky. BSOTWfest??? CHASE HEALTH
14th Penguin had a rough week with his Larson pick (29th). Penguin has spent 9 weeks in the Elite 8 this year but has been on a downward spiral over the last 11 races. He has picked up a second win, but finds himself 52 points out of 8th. It's really simple for Penguin... get that 3rd win or spend the Chase watching you a-holes battle it out for the Championship... CHASE HEALTH
15th Pursuit had a rough week this week with his 15th place Edwards pick. Pursuit has never been higher than 11th this year and that was in week 1. His Chase hopes are bleak, but a win next week in Bristol will give him some hope. His mission is clear get 2 wins in the last 4 races. CHASE HEALTH

Bristol next Saturday.
I'm still hoping that we all make the Chase even though some of us will have to use up our stuff to get there... You just never know in this League what will happen, so give yourself a chance and maybe that Bowyer pick will come through for you in the Chase.
